This past weekend my sister hosted a party different from any one I've ever been to. It was a gold swap! You take your broken, used, simply unwanted gold pieces to the table-they analyze, weigh, and give you cash on the spot!
GREAT DEAL RIGHT!
And then my wheels got to turning...
SO, I am going to host a gold swap party and an Arbonne open house on the same night. There will be NO EXCUSE for not having any money!
I also connected with another friend of mine who sells Jewelry with Premier Designs. I had promised her some time ago I would sponsor a party, but never got around to it. SO-in exchange for now hosting a party-I had her commit to hosting one for ME as well. There is a way to help your own business AND someone else's. Her customer base is people who want to accent how they look. Doesn't it seem reasonable that they would also care about how their skin looks first? About products that would even further accentuate their appearance? OF COURSE!
So, for my party-I have told her I will invite other consultants I know. In exchange for HER business and possibly some swapping of customers, I will hand out free gifts at my party that are her jewelry pieces and vice versa! WIN WIN for all!
Now, I'm going to start paying more attention to people I know that have their own businesses like this. It never hurts to ask! So I'll be asking away!

Your dollar is worth $1.35!!
So, as I have shared with some of you-if you want to just jump right in and do the business...FANTASTIC! But I can almost promise you will be 150% more effective if you try the products for yourself. If you look at the retail price-YES, it can get a little pricey, but let's do some math (It is my specialty after all!)
In the last three months-calculate how much you have spent on the following:
Daily cleanser for your face and body
Daily moisturizer for your face and body
Preventative products (sunscreen, extra moisturizers, vitamins, weight loss products, etc)
Make up
Let's just focus on those. Now like I said, I never considered myself to have bad skin. I used to wash my face every day with Clean & Clear. I also used the daily moisturizer. It was about $16 for both and would last me about a month. For my eczema, I would buy that tub of Eucerin about every three months and it is $12. I'll stop there...let's examine this.
So per month, I was spending about $20. It was maintaining my skin. The Eucerin kept my eczema settled enough that I wouldn't scratch it like crazy all day. The dry spots were still dry. My skin was just my skin.
Now, when I went to the Arbonne party, I basically replaced these products. I bought the Hydrating wash-RETAIL $39, and the day creme with SPF8-RETAIL $49.50, and the skin conditioning oil-RETAIL $18. Now, Kimberly-my district manager and a soon to write author on this blog-explained the benefits of the consultant ID and I believe that I also got a product for fREE with a $100 purchase. I could be wrong...this might change!! :-) So in addition, I got the REstoring toner-RETAIL $33.
I was on-board for the consultant ID. But let's calculate first without:
With just these four products here would be my price before tax, shipping and handling would have been $139.50.
HOWEVER, I purchased the consultant ID. So I received all four products at a 35% discount, purchased the right to buy my own products anytime I WANT with an opportunity to possibly start a business for: $96.23 before tax, shipping and handling!
You don't have to check my math-I have a conferred degree in the numbers!!
AND, because I committed to hosting a wonderful get-together for my friends, I received my beloved detox tea for FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Listen...your dollar is worth NOTHING these days. (I assume all blog readers are registered to vote??!!) But it is worth MORE than a dollar with Arbonne.
Now you might say...but you spent $75 compared to $20. Yes, I'm not crazy, I did not forget. I got these products mid-July. ALL of my bottles are still 2/3 full. Most of the products are pump metered and I think I still use MORE than I need. And the other thing, Arbonne is not maintaining my skin...it is healing it, protecting it, and getting it to where it needs to be. So from July to NOW, I would have spent $60 and I would have had the same skin, the same skin ailments-and when the products from Wal-mart don't work...I don't have an option to take them back. I'm not going to have to buy more of these products anytime soon-but for the improvement I have seen in my skin-I would pay $75 a month even if I was getting the same usage. It IS worth it. IF it's not worth it...take all the mirrors out of your house, cars, and stop looking in them when you're out in public and I'll believe you.
That's what I thought!
Not convinced? I'm not here to try to convince you. I don't have to-the products will. I look great for my age-I'm proud to be 30 and still get mistaken for a teenager. So, if you start looking kind of Halloween-ish 365 days a year...these products will still be able to help you then...but honey-I will be telling you I told YOU so before your wrinkles were landmarks on your body!! HA!
Keep reading...pretty soon you'll be asking me for the rights to post as an author too!
So, keep this in the forefront of your mind...Give me a dollar...I'll give you back $1.35!!

The Meat & Potatoes!!
So, while trying to introduce this opportunity to some of my friends, I had a couple of people that asked for just the "meat and potatoes". So here are a few links from the Arbonne website that I think give you an adequate breakdown of what the opportunity is.
The Success Plan
And here are some presentations:
"SuccessPlan" Presentation
"Opportunity" Presentation
Arbonne=REsults Presentation
If you need hard numbers based on the Health & Beauty Industry, trends, and different statistics, here is some industry information:
About the Industry
This one is self explanatory.
Be Your Own Boss
And, probably what you have really been wanting to know...
COMPENSATION!!
I read through A LOT Of these!
Arbonne in the news!
And now-if you didn't know-almost all of the products YOU use contain mineral oil.
Here is an article on why you SHOULDN'T use it:
http://www.herballuxuries.com/mineral-oil.htm
And if you wondered how you were going to learn all these things about what you should be using in products and what shouldn't be used, and how and why the Arbonne product line is better? Well, there is an absolutely free training tool!

The Success Stories
Listen, I realize that EVERY business comes with all these touchy feely success stories that are designed to make you feel like you can be successful too.
So I'm not going to try to sugarcoat this for you. All I'm saying is that I have personally met Jessica Thompson and she is just as genuine as they come. A God-fearing woman that had all the same reservations about doing this business as well-but a short while later is driving a white mercedes while testifying of her new found self confidence, and the blessings she has in her life.
Read Jessica's Story here
Also, here are some of the amazing ladies in our upline. I receive e-mails and have personal access to these awesome ladies!! You will too!!
Executive Regional Vice President (And Jessica's mom!) Beverly Bender
National Vice President Roxanne Melker
National Vice President Miranda Burcham
I encourage you to read these stories. I assure you that as excited as they seem is as excited as they are!!
Enjoy!

All the reasons why...
Listen...just like the rest of you-I've been to a gazillion Avon, Mary Kay, Beauty Control, Pampered chef, make this meal easy, make this face beautiful, make this house homely, make something out of something home party! And after every single presentation you get a little blurb from the overly happy, overly excited, and overly optimistic "WHATEVER" consultant that is just SURE that her home business is going to make you rich. So, out of moral obligation to whichever friend that hosted the party, I would buy something I didn't need and would probably never order EVER again. Then when they asked about the business I would tell them "No thanks. I have a good job". Party over. Thanks for the free food. Thanks for the products I don't need. Just THANKS.
So, over the summer a coworker of mine asked if I would be interested in coming to her house for an "Arbonne" party. I had heard of it, never been exposed to THIS one...but my son was out of the state and I had NOTHING better to do. SURE, why not.
I went to the party for "Pedicures on the Patio" and I was just looking for a great start to my day. The party was fun, the products were actually quite good...but more than that-the consultant's information about other products that we use that are supposed to be good for us opened my eyes WAY UP. We use so many things that are NOT GOOD for our skin...but that's for another entry.
Here comes the sales pitch...listen...at the time-the only thing that appealed to me was getting a white Mercedes Benz. OH YES! So, the consultant explained that we could be our own "wholesale buyer" buy a consultant's ID for only $29 dollars and possibly do the business. Look-I've been working in supply chain almost my whole career, so I was DOWN for a wholesale buying deal. 35% off? Oh yes, I like it!!
I ordered a skin conditioning oil, and a facial wash, daily lotion, and rejuvenating serum for my face. BUT-I got the 35% discount.
Fast forward about ten days and I get my products and a welcome kit for a consultant. BAH...good marketing pitch...give me the products. The skin conditioning oil was a big interest for me since I battle eczema in the most abnormal places on my body! Namely, I had a rough patch of skin on the back of my neck that I treated daily with Eucerin cream. I bought the skin conditioning oil to see if it would help any better.
Fast forward again about two weeks. I had been using a drop, just oNE DROP of this skin conditioning oil on the back of my neck. And, it wasn't working better than the Eucerin...it was working PERIOD! I read up on the skin care products I was using and learned a lot about mineral oils and all the things I had been using forever that just maintained my skin from day to day...not HEALING IT. This skin conditioning oil was an answer to my PRAYERS! So-I did what all people do-I started telling everybody I knew about it.
One night, I looked at that Arbonne box again and I opened it up...and I started my research. Listen...I am not one for gimics, pyramid schemes, etc. But this started to show itself to me to be a REAL business opportunity.
THIS is just a short blurb of how I came upon this opportunity. If you are here, it's because you've been directed here and you are trying to make the decision as to whether you will join me or whether you will just read for entertainment. I will post trainings, announcements, product reviews, and business ideas here. This is for the consultants doing this with me and others that just need some ideas.
This is not a sales position, I guarantee you that the products sell themselves. Although I never thought I had bad skin, I have watched it get BETTER. I will post the product reviews for you to judge for yourself. There are plenty on the Arbonne Website, but THESE reviews I post will be from people I PERSONALLY know.
IT's a $29 investment. I'm not asking you to do it to help me, I'm telling you if you do the research I have done-it will be an easy decision to make.
Ever wanted to be part of a worthy cause...well the Regional Vice President in our Upline donates 50% of her income to widows and their children in Rwanda. I will let you read more about that later. Being part of a worthy cause, knowing that my upline are all extremely faithful and god-fearing women, helping people I love...these are all the reasons why.
